Infiniti supports ProQuest Syndetics Unbound (SU) by utilising data prepared and distributed by ProQuest, Inc. Schools synchronise their catalogue on demand with a ProQuest database. When your school first starts using SU and subsequently after adding new bibliographic records to your catalogue, your catalogue should be resynchronised with its SU database.


Note: ProQuest records some statistics each time you connect to it. Check with your ProQuest representative for more details.


Enable ProQuest Syndetics Unbound In Infiniti


Go to: Configure > Integrations > Syndetics Unbound

  1. Contact Infiniti support with details of your:
    1. ProQuest Syndetics Unbound account number.
    2. ProQuest Syndetics Unbound client code.
  2. Infiniti support will enable SU on your behalf.


Enable ProQuest Syndetics Unbound URLs in Syndetics

  1. Logon to your Syndetics account.
  2. Go to OPAC Settings > Links and URLs.
    1. Set ISBN URL = https://{your_infiniti_url}/library/search/keyword?searchTerm=UNBOUNDREPLACE
    2. Keyword URL = https://{your_infiniti_url}/library/search/keyword?searchTerm=UNBOUNDREPLACE
    3. Title URL = https://{your_infiniti_url}/library/search/keyword?searchTerm=UNBOUNDREPLACE
  3. Other URLs do not have settings.

Synchronise And Share Your Catalogue With Syndetics Unbound

  • Export your bibliographic records in a suitable format (check with SU support for requirements).
  • Connect to Syndetics Unbound dashboard (check with SU support for access details).
  • Upload your exported catalogue records.

Note: This process should be followed on a periodic basis as your catalogue changes.


Access Syndetics Unbound

  1. From the OPAC or My Lists:
  2. Click title or cover image of a displayed record.

Note: If Syndetics Unbound is enabled, book covers will come from SU.
