Use this routine to generate user lists for printing export to a CSV file.
Exported Excel CSV files can be used as a foundation file for bulk altering patron data. Exported data is manipulated as required and imported.
Go to: Reports > Users > Users (Export)
- Use filters to prepare a list of users to match your requirements, click.
Note: Clickto prepare a list of all users regardless of group or activation. - To print the list:
- - print to PDF.
- - print to WORD.
- To export the list:
- - export to CSV.
Note: Filters enable you to choose just Active, Deactivated, Staff, non-staff Users by Form class, Library Group, Academic Level or View all.
Creating A CSV To Align Infiniti User Names With SSO Usernames
The Excel output file of all users is the optimum choice if for realigning usernames to facilitate Single Sign On or for assigning/updating alternative barcodes for circulation. You will be able to export, manipulate, save, and re-import to adjust usernames to match network logon IDs or to replace existing barcodes with new barcodes.
- - prepare a list of all users.
- - export to CSV. Note: Large export files are processed overnight.
- Edit the CSV in Excel, or another suitable editor, add a new column to the spreadsheet called new username. Note: For convenience, locate this column close to the current username column.
- Match the current username with the proposed new username. Note: The matching process must be done locally by your IT Support.
- Once all matches have been made, strip out all columns leaving just username and new username.
Note: Username is the unique matching key for each patron record and can only be changed via a suitable realignment file. Barcode is the unique loan identifier for each patron taking loans and can only be changed in bulk via a suitable realignment file. All other user fields may be exported, re-imported and changed. Concord can align usernames if supplied with the appropriate file.
Creating a CSV File To Bulk Replace Barcodes
The Excel output file of all users is the optimum choice if for bulk replacing of barcodes for circulation. The data will be exported, manipulated, saved and re-imported to replace existing barcodes with new barcodes.
- - prepare a list of all users.
- - export to CSV. Note: Large export files are processed overnight.
- Edit the CSV in Excel, or another suitable editor, to remove all columns from the spreadsheet except username and library barcode.
- Assign the new barcode to the correct username and save. Note: Barcodes must be unique and cannot be recycled.
- Once all assignments have been made import saved the CSV file.
Note: Username is the matching key for user records and can only be changed via a suitable realignment file. All other user fields may be exported, re-imported and changed. Concord can align usernames if supplied with the appropriate file.
Creating a CSV File To Update Admin System ID for Wonde Integration
The Excel output file of all users is the optimum choice if for updating Admin System ID. This is critical if you are using Wonde to update student records on a periodic basis. The data will be exported, manipulated, saved and re-imported to replace existing Admin System ID with new Admin System ID.
- - prepare a list of all users.
- - export to CSV. Note: Large export files are processed overnight.
- Edit the CSV in Excel, or another suitable editor, to remove all columns from the spreadsheet except username and adminsystemId.
- Assign the new Admin System ID to the correct username and save. Note: Admin System IDs must be unique, must match the Wonde MIS ID, and cannot be recycled.
- Once all assignments have been made import the saved CSV file.
Note: Admin System ID is the matching key for user records being updated from Wonde.
