You can enable your library catalogue to be searched from an external application, i.e., from within another web application, e.g., Learning Management System, directly from a school intranet page, from your school website, or within your school portal. This allows you to open up your catalogue to the wider school community by embedding an Infiniti search box into these locations, or by creating links between other applications and your catalogue. Be aware of copyright restrictions, especially with digital resources.


Go to: Configure > Integration > Adit tab

  1. Use Adit - switchto enable.
  2. Authentication Token - enables Adit to connect from another web application. Note: You can regeneratea new token at any time but previously generated links will become unusable. You only need to regenerate a new token if you are concerned that an Adit link has been maliciously established.
  3. All Guest Account for IP - enter the IP range to allow anonymous access via the guest user link. Note: Access from outside this IP range will require authentication.
  4. Allow Guest Account Access Globally - switchto allow anyone to access your library from anywhere if they have access to the Adit widget. Note: You need to consider your copyright responsibilities if you enable this option.
  5. to save your changes.

After Adit has been enabled you must:

  • check the Guest - Adit Library Group for applicable Sites to access.
  • check the Guest - Adit Circulation Rights to set the Sections which the Guest User (Adit) may view.
