Many libraries have signed up with various ebook platforms and would like to know how to their patrons may download the actual ebooks once the platform website is accessed.

Each ebook vendor requires patron authentication.  This can take various forms and differs from vendor to vendor.

The most common forms of authentication include:

• integration with the School Active Directory (LDAP)  (easiest option if possible)
  
• SIP2 (not supported by Infiniti except for self-checkout and RFID)
• OpenAuth (Google logon)
• SAML
• Ezyproxy
• Provide a file of logons and passwords to the ebook vendor (commonly used)
