The main default Site setting for your Infiniti system is set in Configure > Settings > Cataloguing.


This Site setting determines the default Site chosen for each new copy record added in cataloguing.


It also provides a to Infiniti.  This means that Infiniti will only alert you to returns which belong in a site other than the default site setting.

eg.  Junior site items returning to the Senior library site will alert you ; Textbook Hire items returning to the Library


If your library has multiple campuses (ie. campus libraries or departmental libraries which are geographically separate from each other), you may wish to set a  Site for Returns at that campus which is different to the default.


There are two ways to achieve this.  One involves setting a return Site which is set for that day only.  The second involves setting a Site in the relevant Infiniti library login which is permanently set unless changed again.


1.  Set a Site as the Returns site for a day:


  • click on Returns routine icon
  • drop down the Site menu
  • select the required Site as the default library site
  • this will remain set for the rest of that day
  • it will revert to the default Site setting after logging in the next day
  • this is useful if filling in at another campus library for short periods



2. Set a Site as a permanent Returns site in your library login:

  • login to Infiniti with your library login
  • click on your login name (far right of black header bar)
  • click on My Profile
  • click on My account
  • drop down the Site menu 
  • choose your default library site
  • this is now permanently set to that site unless you alter it at later date
  • this setting does not change the default in Configure > Settings > Cataloguing > Site
  • other library logins may be set to different sites for different campuses or departments
  • optionally change the Default landing page for this login
